Respect for the land is one of Scout Motors’ core values and is reflected in a variety of measures being incorporated into the design and operation of the Production Center. The Production Center is being designed with technologies and infrastructure that can accommodate future electrification and renewable energy integration as the site evolves.
For example, our paint shop dryers and the heating and cooling systems in the Production Center are planned to use technologies designed to operate without traditional natural gas service. Additionally, the Production Center is also being designed with a focus on efficient resource use, including features intended to support water conservation.
We are also working with South Carolina experts to develop landscape enhancement programs informed by site-specific biodiversity studies and intended to support native plants, wildlife, and pollinators across the site.
